Height clearance reduced to 4.3 meters since May 5, 2025. Recreational vehicles, among others, make sure to respect the height clearance before including the tunnel in your itinerary. .
Work on the Laviolette Bridge will resume during weekday nights and sometimes on weekend nights until fall 2025.

Alternating traffic at all times. -Thursday, November 20, between 6:30 p.m. and midnight. Complete closure of the tracks. Detour (30 km) Via Highway 40 West, exit 229, Route 361, Rang de la Rivière à Veillet (Rue de l'Église) in Sainte-Geneviève-de-Batiscan and Route 159 in Saint-Prosper. OR (40 km) Via Highway 40 East, exit 250, Guilbault Road and Route 354 in Saint-Casimir.
